Digital Health Village: How Finland empowers healthcare professionals to improve care
Greetings as we return from the Nordic summer holiday period! We're thrilled to start the new season of activity by showcasing a prime example of Finland's digital health initiatives: the Digital Health Village. 💡🇫🇮
The platform, accessed by thousands of professionals and patients in Finland daily, contains over 400 digital care pathways, developed by doctors and nurses. The key is that clinicians themselves can build the pathways instead of needing an IT team.
The Health Village is globally unique due to its comprehensive nature, and other countries are now looking to replicate the model. HUS Helsinki University Hospital, co-ordinating the platform, is now exploring opportunities to pilot the initiative beyond Finland's borders. 🌎
